Harry is one of 100 celebs participating by donating a pair of their jeans to be painted this year for the ‘Jeans for Refugees‘ campaign. Each pair of jeans will be made into an individual art piece and the 100 art pieces will be exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London, from the 22nd-28th August 2016.
At the end of the exhibition, each piece will be auctioned at a special fundraiser auction, and all proceeds raised will be donated to the International Rescue Committee, and the various IRC initiatives helping millions of refugees worldwide.
August 19th 2016: UPDATE–Harry’s jeans are up for auction! Harry’s jeans were painted by artist Johny Dar, who used metallic paint to create an intricate 3D design on skinny black jeans with ripped knees. Harry added his signature quote “all the love” and his name to the jeans.
Johny Dar: “Harry was born to be a star. He has a sensitive side, which came through while I was painting his jeans.”
Johny Dar spearheaded the campaign ‘Jeans for Refugees‘ in which each single pair of jeans was painted by hand using designs that reflect the donors’ personalities. He has said about his design of Harry’s jeans: “The linework is intricate – my signature style – telling Harry’s story “unplugged”. Sexy jeans, full of energy – ready to rock your world!”
