Back in 2013 Louis showed his support the Children’s Air Ambulance , which is a is a charitable organisation based in the UK that “helps transfer critically ill children and babies to hospital by helicopter”.
In August of the same year, Louis’s grandparents Jen and Len Poulston also showed their support by attending an afternoon tea held in the Children’s Air Ambulances honor at the Rookery in Chatburn. They also donated a signed One Direction book and photo, which were auctioned off and the proceeds were ALL donated to the charity. The afternoon raised over £3000 for the charity.
In December 2013 One Direction again showed their support by donating a signed tour Tshirt for the charity to give away.
Faye Wilson, fundraising manager in Yorkshire for The Children’s Air Ambulance, said: “It’s almost impossible not to have heard of One Direction so we’re incredibly excited and grateful that Louis took some time out of his no doubt busy schedule to express his support for our valuable cause! “We’re really enjoying telling all of our new followers about our vital work and engaging them in our charity; this has opened up our charity to a whole new audience of people and what’s brilliant to see is how much they really seem to understand the importance of our work.”
