They were joined in support by Boyzone Keith Duffy and Ronan Keating, James Corden, John Bishop, Olly Murs, Rod Stewart, Piers Morgan, Robbie Savage and many other celebrities, all who quite often join forces to give their time and talent to a variety of charities throughout the year.
Named “The Niall Horan Charity Football Challenge” more than 10,000 spectators and fans were given a great game experience while raising over £300,000 for charity! Here’s a link to see the highlights of the match, including Harry Styles scoring the first goal for #Team Niall.
After the charity match, Niall, elated with the phenomenal amount of donations raised at the event, gave these remarks:
“Although my team didn’t win, I still enjoyed every minute of this game! I would like to thank all the players who donated their time free of charge to support this event. I am looking forward to making this even bigger and better next year.”
“I am delighted we have raised significant funds for Irish Autism Action which is based in my hometown of Mullingar, UK based Heart and Minds Challenge and the Leicester Foxes Foundation.”
